The Sunday Post #1

the

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by The Caffinated Book Reviewer. It’s a chance to recap the week, and also to look forward to the next week. Basically, updates!

This past week on the Book Deviant, things were a little crazy, although this blog didn’t show it!

Most of my reading was blocked due to school craziness, but that didn’t stop me from adding multiple books to my currently-reading shelf on my Goodreads. I requested a couple books from NetGalley, and received both of them. I also wrote a couple reviews, and decided to start doing this meme!

Reviews:

Reviews Last Week:

When the Moon Was Ours – Anna-Marie McLemore – Rated: ★★★★★

My Life as a White Trash Zombie – Diana Rowland – Rated: ★★★★☆

Upcoming Reviews This Week:

Monday, 26th – Warbreaker – Brandon Sanderson

Thursday, 29th – A Madness So Discreet – Mindy McGinnis

Currently Reading:The Borden Murders: Lizzie Borden and the Trial of the Century

(All links to Goodreads.)

Into the Wild – Jon Krakauer

The Borden Murders: Lizzie Borden and the Trial of the Century – Sarah Miller

This Savage Song (Book 1 of the Monsters of Verity) – Victoria Schwab

Queen of Hearts (Book 1 of the Queen of Hearts Saga) – Colleen Oakes

The Mercy of the TideNetGalley Requests:

The Roanoke Girls – Amy Engel – to be published March 7th

The Mercy of the Tide – Keith Rosson – to be published February 21st

(With all of my books, thankfully, I know the general order they’re supposed to go in. The Borden Murders is a library book, so that comes first. Into the Wild is a book I’m reading for a class, so I have to read that whenever chapters are due. This Savage Song and Queen of Hearts I own, so I can take as long as I want to for those. And the NetGalley requests aren’t due until 2017, so I have plenty of time for them.

  1. Welcome to the Sunday Post. Brandon Sanderson is an author I really need to get to one of these days. And curious to see what you think of Assassin’s Apprentice- I read that series a few years ago and while I liked it, I was mentally exhausted, she can be tough on her characters. 🙂
